London Hedge Fund looking for Consumer Analyst / PM (L/S Equity and Event Driven)
A London based hedge fund with just under $1bn of AUM is looking to appoint an experienced buy side analyst or portfolio manager to assume responsibility for the funds consumer sector investments. The fund invests mostly in Europe, but also looks at North America, with a L/S fundamental stock picking approach which also includes event driven situations (restructurings, mergers, acquisitions).
To be considered for this position you should have:
- A strong knowledge of the European and/or North American consumer sector
- Experience at a hedge fund / asset manager as an investment analyst or PM
The successful candidate will be joining a small investment team (currently seven people) with an excellent reputation in European stock picking. You will have discretion for looking across the consumer sector and generating investment ideas which will be agreed at committee. The successful candidate will be a member of the investment committee and will also have input into the direction of the firm across other sectors. The fund has a collegiate approach to investment decision making as all the analysts and PM’s have significant buy side experience in their respective sectors. Comp levels will be largely dictated by the successful candidates previous earnings, but a competitive package is on offer.
